Pleasant Ave Connection was created as a journey through time, place, and memory. I returned to Spanish Harlem thirteen years after leaving the city, ready to immerse myself in the colors, sound, smells, and stories of Spanish Harlem, a place of extremes. From the shimmering vibrancy of neon at night to the dirty dark corners of the streets, I discover a full spectrum of life in the barrio with people and families that call this place home.
